Our Client, a technological subsidiary of a Canadian Utility, is a leading full storage system service provider offering customized battery energy storage systems, control software, installation, commissioning, operation, inspection and management, and an end-of-life recycling program. Their products are installed on multiple locations of the electric grid and are monitored in real time by their operators. They are need of people like you to achieve energy & sustainability goals, and conquer the field of energy storage.
As a member of the development team in the context of energy storage projects, you will be responsible, in the projects assigned to you, to act as a technical expert in the electricity portfolio, and automation.

Roles & Responsibilities (Version Française, ci-dessous)
- Coordinate with project managers;
- Responsible for control system engineering;
- Perform or supervise the programming of programmable logic controllers (eg Allen Bradley, Schneider, Phoenix Contact);
- Perform or supervise programming eg: SCADA and operator interfaces (Rockwell);
- Maintain and develop historian databases;
- Supervise the work of designers on projects;
- Participate in preliminary and final tests;
- Supervise installations, tests:
- Write technical manuals;
- Participate in tenders.
- Participate in large-scale and stimulating programming projects in the field of automation;
- Carry out the design (plan and estimate) of automation projects;
- Perform project estimates and schedules;
- Perform pre-operational checks;
- Provide programming and diagnostic service;
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/automation;
- Experience in automation: 10 years;
- Communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit;
- Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
- Have a valid driver's license
Specific Knowledge Areas
- Good knowledge of PLCs ex: Schneider, Allen Bradley and Phoenix Contact;
- Good knowledge of SCADA software: Factorytalk View;
- Good knowledge of industrial communication networks: Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, DNP3, IEC 61850;
- Knowledge of historian databases: Factorytalk Historian;
- Easy to read and understand electrical, control and single-line diagrams;
- Proven verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
- Knowledge of the energy field an asset;

éducation et expérience:
- Baccalauréat en ingénierie électrique/automatisation;
- Expérience en automatisation : 10 ans;
- Aptitudes en communications et en relations interpersonnelles, esprit d'équipe;
- Être membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Avoir un permis de conduire valide
Connaissances spécifiques:
- Bonne connaissance des automates ex :Schneider, Allen Bradley et Phoenix Contact;
- Bonne connaissance des logiciels SCADA : Factorytalk View;
